“Only from the heart can you touch the sky.” –Rumi

Have you been longing for the time and space to finally fill your own cup? Is a deep connection to yourself and others calling you back?

Is there a dream within you that wants to come alive in this pivotal time of individual and collective transition?

Creation is the birthright of all women. Whether or not we have birthed children, we express our divine feminine when we are creating something that comes into the world from within ourselves.

The business of life and its demands to the details often obscure how we relate to our creative selves. In this past year, we have heard so many stories from women who are just trying to survive the storm. Space to even breathe, let alone create, feels unreachable. But as we witness breakdown and isolation, this is when your integrated, creative self is needed the very most.

So we created something for you.

Are you ready to connect more deeply with yourself and others?

This retreat is for you if...

You’ve been feeling invisible, stuck, or silenced in your own life and/or by the events and circumstances of this last year.

You are feeling exhausted and depleted from caretaking everybody around you -- and crave the time, environment, and support to nurture and nourish yourself.

You’ve been fantasizing about the luxury of stillness, space, and silence as your body’s call for freedom to breathe and exhale grows louder.

You feel life as you knew it has shifted so dramatically that you are struggling to keep up, and you haven’t felt the confidence or support to integrate your experiences and make sense of it all.

You long to ignite your commitment to move your life forward -- physically, professionally, spiritually, emotionally, soulfully -- but aren’t sure how.

You’ve been afraid or reluctant to invest in your transformation to play big in life, perhaps questioning whether you’re making too big of a fuss about it.

You have felt fearful, overwhelmed, or frustrated by all the noise going on around you but you trust that the light is up ahead.

You are done with feeling stuck, alone, and isolated. You are ready to surround yourself with people who raise your frequency, to be a part of a community that sees and brings out your best self.

What this Retreat is NOT...

This retreat is not a showcase to parade vanities or compete about the most spiritual, healthy, flexible, or Instagram-able. We are practical, approachable, and relatable. Our goal is to give you as many accessible tools as we can in the time we’re together.

This retreat will not ask that you qualify to be “Enough” in any way, shape, or form. Come as you are. Conversely, we welcome you in all of your “Too-much-ness” as well.

This retreat is not a one-size-fits-all event. We work from the very beginning to tailor your experience to your life’s needs. Everybody has a different edge. If you don’t know already, we will help you find and flirt with yours.

This retreat is not going to fix you. We believe you are the ultimate authority of your life, and if you don’t believe that yet, that’s where we’re going to meet you and guide you to lean into your truth.

This retreat is not going to overwhelm and overload you by packing too much in. A key guiding value is an integration, so we recognize and serve the need to land, rest and digest every day. We have set aside unstructured days for solitude and chilling out if that’s what you want to do.

This retreat is not going to impose anything you aren’t ready for. We honor you to show up authentically and will see you in that light. We are all uniquely skilled and qualified in our own ways to hold space and additionally staff a licensed therapist to ensure safety and security.

This retreat is not only about work, going deep, and taking ourselves too seriously. Breakthroughs come in all ways, through laughter and stillness as well as a group process. With the support of Mother Nature’s lush jungle and beachy landscapes, we balance steady doses of relaxation, rejuvenation, and downright silly playfulness into each day.

“In this past year, we have been forced to navigate our challenging personal terrains in confinement and solitude. Now, we are yearning to reimagine community with those seeking the highest potential of what is possible in life. This brings us home to our own truth.” J’aime

Our Southern Pacific Zone has several microclimates, and since we'll be spending half our time in the mountains at a higher altitude and the rest of our time together at the beach, expect a wide range of temperatures.

Located at almost 3,700 feet above sea-level, year-round temperatures at Rio Chirripo Lodge range from 70 to 80 degrees during the day with mild nights in the high 50s to low 60s.  Early mornings are typically slightly cooler, getting warmer as the sun is fully up and hot in the afternoons, then finishing with a cool to a chilly evening.  So basically,  you can wear the same things you’d wear at the beach, but with layers.  Think hoodies and socks in the evening.

Our next accommodations are located at sea level near the beach, so it will be consistently hot more of the day, with a nice cool down and maybe even a rain shower at night.  Think tank tops, flip flops, and sundresses.

Being only 9 degrees north of the equator, Costa Rica’s days and nights are pretty equal year-round.  Daylight begins to show between 5:00/5:15 am, with sunrises around 5:30/5:45 am, so by 6:30 am everyone is usually naturally awake and alert. Sunset begins between 5:30/5:45 pm.  Costa Rica is Central Standard Time and does not participate in Daylight Savings time.

Guests traveling from the USA and Canada (and many other countries) do not need a visa but will need to provide a return ticket or evidence of onward travel within 90 days.  Your passport must have at least 6 months validity remaining to enter the country.

No shots or vaccinations are needed for visits to Costa Rica, but they are now requiring international insurance to enter.  The price will be about $18-25 for a 12-day stay.  We’ll provide more details and company recommendations after registration.

*Please note that your home country may have re-entry requirements to be aware of.  If testing is required for you, we will help make sure that it gets done in the required amount of time for re-entry.  At this time, the cost is about $46 for 2-hour results.*

Generally, Costa Rica is quite safe. Like any place, normal precautions and care should be taken depending upon where you are visiting. Violent crime is rare in Costa Rica while theft of personal property (from automobiles and hotel rooms) is more common. Big cities, beach areas, and any place with a concentration of tourists are more likely to draw petty thieves, so we recommend taking nothing of value on our excursions away from the resorts.

Both resorts are private and gated, yet as a standard precaution, we recommend that you store your valuables (cash, credit cards, passports, plane tickets, etc) in the safe available in your room.

Countrywide, water quality standards in Costa Rica are generally quite high and visitors normally do not have any problems, and both resorts have filtered water available.

Even though Costa Rica only takes up 0.03% of the planet, it hosts more than 5% of the world’s biodiversity.  It’s impossible to come here and not feel like you’re a part of this remarkable ecosystem.  Having said that, there’s a lot of insect life in general in Costa Rica.  However, the mountain elevation keeps this issue at a minimum, and light or natural sprays used at sea level are sufficient to keep you comfortable.

In the mountains, the year-round temperature is 70 to 80 degrees during the day with mild nights. Thus, most rooms or facilities do not have air conditioning. Each room is equipped with an overhead fan that cools the room perfectly day and night. We have 2 junior suites with air-conditioning to accommodate special requests

Most cell phones work, however, you might need to contact your provider for assistance to activate your international option before you travel. Alternately, we have solid WiFi connections in most public areas of the country, so you can reserve your cell phone usage for when you’re connected to a network.

Costa Rica’s official currency is the Colón.  The exchange rate averages around 600 colones to the dollar.  However, US dollars are generally accepted in all areas except for some smaller rural villages.  If you do spend US dollars, keep in mind that you will receive your change in colones.  It is recommended that you bring denominations of $20 or less as higher denominations are often not accepted in local shops and markets.  We have one scheduled day to visit some local shops for souvenirs, but other than that you shouldn’t need a lot of cash.

All major credit cards are generally accepted throughout Costa Rica with Visa and Mastercard being the most prevalently accepted.  AMEX and Discover are accepted in fewer locations.

The country uses 120V, 60Hz current, and the same for wall outlets.  This is the same as the US, so travelers from the US will not need adaptors.

Participants should bring clothes for active daytime, such as closed-toe shoes for some light hiking that you wouldn’t mind getting wet, yoga clothes, swimwear, cover-ups, and casual wear for sunset and dinner.  The nights can be chilly so pashminas, cardigans, and few long-sleeved layering options are recommended.  *A more detailed packing list will be provided after you’ve registered.*

Yes, there is a laundry service available locally. It’s charged based on weight and is typically not expensive.

In addition to the abundance of fresh spring water, we will offer a variety of fresh fruit and vegetable smoothies and juices.  We take great pride in curating healthy and delicious meal experiences for you.  The menus include a variety of vegetarian fare as well as chicken and fish.  We can also adhere to a grain-free, dairy-free, vegan, and gluten-free diet if you so desire.  Our chefs are fully versed in many types of foods, special dietary needs and can accommodate any special request.  We ask that you share your needs in advance so that we can make our chef aware.  In order to remain fully present for the transformation taking place throughout your retreat, no alcohol will be served.

The staff gratuities are not included in the package price.  Tips are optional and entirely at your discretion.  We recommend you tip what you feel is comfortable and reasonable per guest for your stay for the general staff and spa therapist if you choose to receive optional treatments.  A good rule of thumb to follow is $25 per day for general staff (pooled), plus any additional tips for individual staff you feel went above and beyond in services provided. We recommend you to tip add-on services providers such as your spa therapist (15-20%) per treatment and tour guides ($10 to guide, $5 to the driver) per excursion (we only have one tour planned).

We only ask that you arrive with an open mind and willingness to surrender to the process of transformation. Because we have a somewhat active agenda some days, improving your fitness level prior to your arrival will help you have more fun! If you’d like some good reading for the plane or retreat downtime, here are some of our spiritual faves that could also help you be prepared to deep dive while you’re here:

We often get asked what kind of yoga or movement practices we do, how many times a day, and what if I haven’t practiced in awhile – all valid questions.  You will be fine.  The yoga offerings are basic vinyasa flow, yin, and restorative.  We can accommodate all levels of yoginis, but highly recommend some pre-retreat yoga experience, even if you start a practice with the retreat in mind.  Some days will have one yoga practice, some will have none but will include some light stretching and active walking or a hike.  We promise to get in as much movement as we can and balance it with plenty of time for rest and rejuvenation.  Most mornings will begin with meditation and movement (after coffee, but before breakfast!) to start the day off right.

Take a few yoga classes or get moving again if it’s been a while in order to get the most out of your experience with us.  We’re happy to help you with class suggestions on Gaia if you’d like to get back into a gentle practice beforehand.

We don’t send exact itineraries.  Instead, we stay flexible so we can adjust to the needs and desires of each group - and our ever-changing Costa Rica weather.  However, we will post a tentative daily agenda each morning during your stay.  Rest assured, you’ll get plenty of what you signed up for!

You do not need to participate in everything; you can pace yourself to find the perfect amount of activity for you.  We support you in doing as much or as little as is right for you, depending on how you are feeling.  However: this is a transformational retreat, and we’re giving you as much as what you signed up for as possible!  (Personally, we wouldn’t want you to miss a thing.)  The schedule gives you a sense of the flow of each day.  It’s always subject to change, depending upon the needs of the group, weather, etc.

Contact directly for details and questions about our Covid protocol.

A retreat is an investment in your well-being, but it’s also a financial investment.  No one books a retreat with the intention of canceling, but unexpected life events do occur.

We HIGHLY RECOMMEND purchasing your own trip cancellation insurance so your expenses will be covered in case you can’t make the trip.  You can usually add insurance to your airfare when booking flights, or ask your credit card company about trip insurance.

In the event, you have an accident while on the retreat, the international policy Costa Rica requires will cover your medical expenses.

Airfare, optional services offered, spending money, tips, accommodation, and food before or after the retreat if you are staying longer.
